Karate Sparing Equipment

In order to effectively practice self defense, sooner or later you’ll have to participate in free sparring. Unlike pre-arranged sparring where the karate moves are predetermined, free sparring is dynamic and you never know exactly what your opponent is going to throw. Since free sparring is dynamic and has a higher chance of injury, karate sparing equipment is necessary for this activity.

Martial Arts Sparring Equipment

Sparring equipment such as a headgear, mouth guard, chest guard, shin guards and protective cups are necessary. Along with sparing gloves, wearing protective equipment during your sparring sessions will ensure that both participates are safe from the strikes that can occur. Be sure that you purchase quality equipment from reputable companies such as Macho, Pro Force, Lightening, Adidas or Century.

Sparring without the right equipment is dangerous to yourself and to your training partner. Be sure to keep your body protected during any free sparring activities in the karate dojo.
