There are many techniques to enhance the way you learn karate. You can practice karate moves all the time, participate in seminars or study instructional videos, but one of the most neglect aspect to think of when learning karate is your physical conditioning.
The famous American football coach Vince Lombardi once said, “Fatigue makes cowards of us all”. This is true not only in competition, but in the dojo as well! If you’re not physically fit, and you become physically tired during class, you’ll find that you will have a hard time paying attention to the Sensei, and this will translate to how well you will learn what they’re teaching. If can’t focus on the instructions your karate teacher is telling you, then your ability to learn the martial arts techniques will be compromised.
Also, if you’re fatigued, you’ll be sloppy when you’re performing karate techniques. If your repeating sloppy karate techniques all the time, you’ll discover that this is how you’ll always perform the moves! Get your physical conditioning handled and you’ll find that you’ll be able to learn a lot more from karate class.
