Martial Arts Supplies You Can’t Leave Home Without
A frustrating thing that can happen to you during martial arts class is if you forget any martial arts supplies from home. You can be caught in the middle of class without proper equipment, and that can lead to ineffective and potentially risky training. Here are a few martial arts training equipment that you shouldn’t leave home without:
Towel
Sure, you can say that your karate Gi is all you need to absorb the sweat. But that’s disgustining! Karate and martial arts training is sweaty business, and just like any other workout, you should keep a sweat towel handy to wipe away the perspiration.
Spare Karate Uniform
Imagine if you’re training and you’re in a wide horse stance, and all of a sudden your crotch of the martial arts pants rip! Depending on the thickness of the gi and the quality of the stitching, this is a very likely possibility. It’s less embarrassing to ask your martial arts instructor to change uniforms compared to continuing with the class with a hole in your crotch.
Water bottle
This may be a neglected piece of equipment if your dojo has a vending machine. However, during the hot summer days water tends to sell fast, and you don’t want to be in martial arts class without proper hydration. Also, it’s possible that one day the vending machine might be out of water. Keep a water bottle in your training equipment bag every time you attend martial arts classes.
