Used Martial Arts Equipment

If you have more than one child and they have a wide age gap, you may be inclined to pass down the used martial arts equipment from the older sibling to the younger one. You can save a lot of money using old martial arts equipment from your child and passing it along to the young one, but there are a few things to keep in mind before letting your younger kid use the old equipment:

Worn Out Martial Arts Supplies

Make sure that the karate equipment is still usable and is not worn out. Equipment such as the karate uniform should be free from any tears and the length of the arms and legs should fit the younger child. Sparring equipment such as headgear, gloves and foot pads are normally foam dipped, and depending on the manufacturer of the equipment, the foam may start crumbling. For safety reasons, make sure that the sparring equipment is not worn out before using it.

In sum, pre-owned martial arts equipment that is in good condition passed down from the older sibling to the younger one is a good way to save money on training supplies.
